After submitting my first Phantom piece, I noticed one of the Phantom of the Opera clubs was holding a contest for Christine/Raoul romance. At first I didn't think much on it, but once again, without warning, my own childhood memories started flooding my mind as I tried to concentrate on my commission artwork. ( which I REALLY need to start doing soon! 
) My memories have been the source of my depression and nostalgia lately... but suprisingly... this time... they were good ones.. really happy ones.. about my old childhood sweetheart (and NO I will not tell you who he is! Sod off! 
) and "Little Lotte" started running through my head. So suddenly inspired by the thoughts of what "Little Lotte" really was.. I made this. I think there is a kind of love that is stronger then any other, that left poor lonely Erik without a chance of winning Chirstine from the very start, and it had nothing to do with his face, it was the almost invincibly stronger love of both Christine and Raoul suffering from "childhood sweetheart" syndrome.
So for the contest with a theme of the love between Christine and Raoul I picked the moment which I believe to be the most romantic between them.. when Raoul first gets to speak with Christine again in her dressing room after her performance, and they recall there childhood memories together... from the moment he first saw her as a child and fetched her red scarf from the sea while her father played his violion on the windy beaches, and they spent everyday together after, until the autumn parted them. (As seen in the mirror of her memories in this pic.)
I hope you all like this.. and can even relate in some way.
